My advice to the client will be to, go for the best green building certification available and to meet as many standards as possible. Stating the reason that, a green building certification is not a mere certification but is a way to make the infrastructure more energy efficient and cost effective in the long run.

A green building is one which can function using an optimum amount of energy, consumes less water, conserve natural resources, generate less waste and creates spaces for healthy and comfortable living, as compared to conventional building.

A green building minimizes the demand on fossil fuel based energy and maximizes usage of renewable energy along with the reuse and recycle of resources with minimal generation of non-degradable waste.

A green building doesn't only provide its residents the best occupational quality but also works for the welfare of ecosystem by using minimal natural resources.
