Mrs. Green is a client of your agency. She has a diagnosis of vascular dementia. She is only mildly forgetful from time to time. She takes comfort in “getting answers” although she may forget them. She says to you, “Have you seen my daughter? I haven’t seen her in a long time.” You know that the daughter visits on a regular basis, but are not sure when she was last at your client’s home.

Answer: Multi- infarct dementia is a disease which mainly effects the elderly people as it is a memory loss in which patient suffering from it unable to remember things. It is due to the multiple stroke in the brain. As it is caused due to disruption of blood flow in the brain.
Mrs. Green's forgetfulness may interfere with her safety needs as most of the time she may forget to take medicines on time or might be she forgets her way to home and go somewhere which can be harmful for her.
She should be reminded about the last visit of her daughter and also be informed that she is suffering from memory loss disease so she should be more careful and concious about it. She should avoid going alone anywhere.
