1) Role of Primary education in child development.

2) Modern techniques vs conventional techniques of education.

Why did you choose those?

The role of education is critic al to not only for profession requirements but also socially. Education generates a positive externality besides creating human capital. Thus analyzing role of education is important from the point of view of socio, economic and political expansion of the population.

What do you already know about those topics?

Education is a merit good in the sense that when provided privately it is not provided optimally rather it is provided less than what is socially optimal. This is because of the cost associated with it. When a person want to be an graduate, he may stop at being an intermediate because of inability to afford the fee. Thus education must be provided by government. But the question is at what level: primary, secondary or at higher(degree) level. The answer to this can be found out by studying the benefits that accrue from investing at each level against the cost at each level.

What do you hope to learn through research about the topics?

From first topic hopes to learn about the benefits of primary education in child development.

The second Topic attempts to study the developments in education system and compares with the conventional system of education. Hope to learn which one is more effective way of education.
