Turner were known for his enormous oil paintings and for innovations each of them have their own philosophy it was directed that either painters could become poet while demonstrating their ability to canvas or they could accept the truth and show honesty in their work and with such approach the importance of the landscape painting changed as now majorly paintings are inspirational and it was followed by generation to come.

A romantic landscape painting was a movement which have upper hand in overall literature, arts, music in US during the 1st half of 19th Century. During this period mostly artist highlighted that feelings and emotions was crucial element defining the thoughts and the same was focused on individual, a person, one who is spontaneous who has feelings and have goal to achieve. Like for example Thomas Cole who was the founder of the Hudson River School and was known for his landscape painting, The Oxbow which shows the connection of the river valley after the thunderstorm and another masterpiece from Cole was The Voyage of Life which showcase the four stages of human life, childhood, youth, manhood and old age.
