1. George Ritzer developed the concept of Mcdonalization. This concept is used when the people adopt a lifestyle where they are more involved in fast-food resturants principles in the American society and in many parts of the world. As a whole the main features and priniciples of the fast food chains are influencing and running the society The main characteristics of Mcdonalization are: predictability, calculability, efficiency, more control and use of technology instead of human reseource.

One of the best example of mcdonalization of society is education. Education in the modern time is efficient as per as grading. The education system uses multiple choice testing to evaluate the studnets. There is calculability in the form of grades. Same content, same lessons are being taught repeatedly which shows predictability. And next is control as both the students and the teachers have to follow some set of rules and norms. Techonolgy can be defined here as the advent of e-class and the use of internet. This is the education system world wide has been Macdonalized.
