• Becoming a parent is a life changing for any man or woman.As a woman apart from physical and mental changes,normal routine life also changes.Women are prone to either taking a break from their job or completely quitting their work to take care of their child,while men continue to work.But men also start working more number of hours as more financial aid is needed to take care of the child.
• In todays time,men and women are becoming equal partners in taking care of the child by switching duties to stay at home.Its not just women but even men who take a paternal leave and stay at home with the child,while the woman works.
• Emotionally also parenthood changes men and women both as now their world revolves around their child and doing the best for him or her.Parents start keeping their own interests at backfoot and only focus on the needs of their child.Sometimes they stop paying attention to their own physical and mental health by only being preoccupied with the child.
• Men and women both go under hormonal changes after becoming a parent.Women obviously deal with weight issues and other bodily concerns but even men face physical changes,like their testosterone levels may drop which plays an important role reproduction.The brains also change,as the parts associated with emotions,empathy,nurturing,attachment get elevated more when a child is born.
