Norminal data

these are discrete units and used for label variables which do not have a quantitative form and dont have a order also

example; Gender-male or female ,Known languages-English,spanish,German

Ordinal data

Thses are in form of an order and discrete units.It is commonly deals with non numeric data

example;Acadamic grade-A,B,C,D ,Attitudes-strongly disagree,disagree,nuetral,agree,strongly agree

Discrete data

Data that can be counted but cannot be measured.

example- number of students in a class, number of books in a bag etc

Continuous data

Data that can be measured not countable

example- hieght of a person, weight of a person etc

Interval data

Data that are ordered with same difference.ie difference between the values are same

example-temperature (-5,0,5,10 etc)

Ratio data

same as an interval data,but it contains an absulute zero value

example-measurement of hieght,weight
