How would you assess the relationship between social value and perception? Is there a relationship? Explain.
Social values are the norm and standard of lives that are to be attained by the society members. They facilitate the common governing principles according to which the lives of the persons can be regulated. On the other hand, perception can be seen as an arrangement, interpretation of the sensory information so that the presented information can be perceived or understood by the human being
There is a very close relationship between the special values and perception. It is the social value that creates the perception of anything. The social values provide us the parameters on which we have to analyze and interpret the various phenomenon and information facilitated to us. When a person is exposed to any sensory input, it, first of all, evaluate on the basis of his or her social values and after the analysis n and verification of the two, the perception about the input stimuli is created. This is why the same symbols may have a different meanings in different cultures as they have different social values.
