If Fair Work Australia is involved in a follow-up action, what are the stages in an investigation? Discuss in 120–150 words.
This is the country’s industrial relations tribunal, formed in the year 2009. Some acts of this commission are fixation of the minimum wage, settling disputes, claim settlement, award, etc.
There are so many stages in an investigation. These are as below:
Stage 1) Identify the problem: Once a case (like dispute) comes to the tribunal, the person in charge should identify the problem within it.
Stage 2) Examination: It makes evidence whether Australia’s law is applicable to the persons involved. If it is not down then what needs to be done to fix the problem.
Stage 3) Happenings: This is a finding of causes of the problem. It gives evidence, step-by-step evaluation, outcomes, what has done for resolving the problem, etc.
Stage 4) Non-cooperation: The commission may face non-cooperation either from employee or employer or both (like employer doesn’t want to disclose the payroll register). This should be mentioned in the report.
Stage 5) Decision: The commission gives decision of the case at the end with all relevant supporting.
