Brain
When you see some one you have a crush on, your heart beat increases and the body become restless. You may also start sweating from the hands and feet. This is caused due to the secretion of adrenaline and norepinephrine. The neurotransmittors dopamine and oxytocin start getting secreted in the brain which leads to a feelin gof love and happiness. The feeling of butterlies in the stomach is due to increased cortisol levels.
While driving a car the 4 most active brain areas are-
1. Temporal lobe is important because it helps with memory and language recognition. If this is damaged it will be difficult to remember where we are going or we will be unable to read traffic boards.
2. Frontal lobe is responsible for motor skills which help eto drive the car. This also helps to make decisions like what to do if there is an accident etc.
3. Cerebellum is responsible for regulation of our emotions. If wwe are angry while driving we might be in the mood to take risks and drive rashly which will cause harm.
4. Occipital lobe is important because is helps with vision. Visuo perceptual skills helps us to drive. If there is any damage to this lobe, we will not be able to see clearly.
When a person is intoxicated, they might not be able to walk straight. This is because it affects the cerebellum which helps to control gait. Another part of the brain that gets affected is the frontol lobe whihc is why we are unable to make clear decisions and judgements. It also inhibits our memory which leads to memory loss.
