a) The lower class limits are defined as the starting point of each of the classes given ( that is the first value for each of class):

100,200,300,400,500

b) The upper class limits are the ending values for each of the class ( That is the second value for each of the given class):

199,299,399,499,599

c) The class width is defined as the difference between upper and lower class limit of any of the given classes:

199 - 100 = 99

Therefore 99 is the class width required here.

d) The class midpoints are computed as the middle point of each of the class ( mean of the upper and the lower limit )

(100 + 199)/2 = 149.5

Similarly all the other midpoints are computed to be:

149.5, 249.5, 349.5, 449.5, 549.5

e) The class boundaries are defined as the midpoint of the upper class limit of any class and the lower class limit of the class next to it:

= (199 + 200)/2 = 199.5

Similarly other class boundaries are defined as:

99.5, 199.5, 299.5, 399.5, 499.5, 599.5

f) The total individuals included in the summary is computed as the sum of all frequencies:

= 27 + 95 + 27 + 1 + 3 = 153

Therefore 153 is the total sample size here.
