Your textbook makes a brief mention of globalization as one of the forces that will impact on the future of health care delivery in this country. How do you think that has changed over the last year, and what new things do you see on the horizon?
globalization impact health directly or indirectly in a myriad ways in terms of social, cultural, political, technological and economic. an increase in trade seriously affect health through increased risk for non communicable diseases, and increased use of recreational drugs. spread of antibiotic resistant microbes is a major health risk or hazard contributed by globalization which increase hospital stay of patients . non profit organizations have become very active in spreading global awareness on health. newer drugs are being under test, which also poses a serious risk on the global health. the new face of terrorism with the introduction of bioweapons.
in the near future, globalization has lot many effects on health, which may include increase in pollution, global warming, terrorist attacks, psychoactive drug abuse. on the other hand, global population has learned a lot from the recent pandemic to be more conscious towards health and must have a strong immunity to fight the disease through adopting healthy life style habits.
