Given recent societal and technological changes, give an example of a decline for each type of social capital: linking, bridging, bonding.
First of all if we look back to 1980's decade where people don't have access to internet mobile phones. They're much more social. If we look at the family bonding etc. We would then see stable families are made which implies that bonding, bridging and linking were there.
But if we look at nowadays linking social capital is everywhere by Facebook or other social networks but most of them are busy with their own self created domain. Also we see pseudo linking even within the family. With regards of Bonding we can say high rates of divorce show us how long term relationship among different persons become unstable.
The rising violences due to Isis or other antisocial psychopaths show us how the communication bridging problem is prevalent in the society.
In conclusion we can say our society has seen horrible demon's like Isis or other antisocial psychopaths, they drenched our world with human blood destroyed civilizations, had it not been for those horrible demon's? I hope our society will be far more technologically advanced than it is now. But overall we must look at the social structure and thus linking, bridging and bonding with people to generate human capital from the interlinkages of positive externality for our greater mankind.
