We know that using netiquette online is important, but why?
This is because use of netiquette represents our correct or acceptable way of using the Internet.
What are the consequences of bad netiquette in the classroom?
When someone has bad netiquette in the classroom, it can create and uncomfortable learning environment and provide an outlet for inappropriate discussion or attacks on someone's point of view.
In your response, be sure to reflect on how it feels to be addressed with bad netiquette, and how you think others feel.
It feels quite bad when someone addresses with bad netiquette. Others also feel the same. Reason is quite obvious. Bad netiquette creates a poor environment where there is no respect for other's point of view. Even you ae talking something quite urgent or serious but people may take it very casually.
How does netiquette relate to peer assessment?
A person or student showing good netiquette is generally assessed on top scales by the peers. Peers generally admire such person or student and respect his point of view. This boosts morale and confidence of the person and creates the good environment.
Why is it important to use good manners when leaving feedback?
It is important to use good manners when leaving feedback because your good manner exhibits that you are taking the feedback seriously & positively, you are not casual and you may take corrective action in future. This enhances your reputation in eyes of the examiner or accessor.
How do you feel about the feedback you received this week?
I certainly feel that there are a certain areas where I need to improve. This gives me an opportunity to improve and outperform in future assessments.
What about the feedback you gave?
I gave the genuine feedback to other peers based on my observations of their netiquette behaviour in classroom. I was not biased and I gave feedback not for letting others down. I just wanted to say what was fair in terms of my feedback.
