4. Provide two examples from our course materials where connecting technology to religion was used to enhance the status of technology.
Religion and its development are in a critically dangerous stage in the 21st century. In the last few centuries, history showed us that faith is a tool to gain power and rule over other people. In a democracy, people are equal, and their rights are equals, but religion divided people by making believe its followers by telling imaginary stories and one-sided rules. Technology results from scientific inquiry and constant improvement; the other has no scientific temper, even unable to accept critical questions. Religions are in its last resort in Europe, but traditionally, religion and belief greatly influence the US, as its constitution and political leaders use it loosely. The third world countries and Arab countries are the best illustrations of the barbaric act of faith. Technology and religion could not go hand in hand. Religion tries to protect its teeth by adopting technology—science and technology all about improvements and pushing the limit of humanity. Religion is a fantasy, but technology is real.
