SO what is the difference between heat and temperature? When you go about your everyday life which one do you concern yourself with more?
Well, I'm most basic terms the difference between heat and the temperature is that while heat is a form of energy the temperature is simply a thermodynamical quantity! Work can be done by heat but not with temperature since temperature is simply a quantity that measures the degree or amount of heat. In different words you can also put it like this : Heat is the total kinetic and potential energy of all the molecules In a body. On the other hand Temperature is the AVERAGE kinetic energy of the molecules in the body. The heat energy moves from a hotter body to the cool body. But the temperature does not move. It simply rises when we HEAT a body and drops down when we cool a body, so it simply measures the degree of hotness.
As to your second question, in your your everyday life you dint need to concern about one and not the other. Since both are related to each other in the cause and effect relationship you can worry about either and you will be worrying about the other on its own.
Hope I made it clear.
