The steps that can be taken by an organization in implementing positive social change initiative include;

  • clearly defining the change and strategically aligning it to the business goals
  • Determining the impacts of the social changes and the individuals bound to be affected by the change.
  • developing a communication plan
  • ensuring effective employee training and development
  • implementing support structures
  • effectively measuring the change process.

The organization should Clearly define the change to make clear to the employees and other stakeholders. If the change is clear., then cases of resistance will be rare. Also clearly defining change is essential in identifying the needs for the changes and the implications of the change to the organization as a whole. examples would include conducting a critical review against organisation goals and strategies to promote positive change.

Determining the impacts of the social change would include examples of activities such as reviewing the entire business unit and how the change will impact the structure of the organization and the individuals involved in the change.
