If education is a vital tool to bridge the wealth and opportunity gap between low and high income communities, why are schools struggling with resources? What should be done to better inform elected and government officials of the need to invest in schools? Do schools really need more funding or is there a mismanagement of resources? What can we do?
Every individual have their own right to get educated but just because of the economic status their oppotunities are being avoided and taken away from them. Many government officials try to help these kind of people who have a disadvantage because of their economic status by constructing schools with free educations and they also spend a lot in materials needed to support the school and also the students. Even though these kind of schools are constructed many families think that these kind of schools are not worth of studying and their attitudes is that the schools which asks for a whole lot of money is the only the school with better futur. So because of these attitudes many schools also changed their thought from giving free education to collecting money form evry students without considering the childs family background. People in the education field might not be having a proper knowledge about how to use the money to buy resourses needed for the school or they might not know how use the already existing resourses can also be a reason for the insufficiant reourses in school. Proper individual should be appointed in government offices (ie) the person with well educated background should be appointed. Rules should be kept common for all schools such as the fee structure etc., this will help in using the resourse effectively
