Part A
Explanation: One of the fundamental principles of training, the trainer needs to explain the topics to the trainees. Sometimes the pace of class is set, but sometimes the trainer needs to adapt his pace of explanation, based on the understanding level of trainee. It is the duty of the trainer to fully explain the concepts to the trainees.
Demonstration: The trainer is also required to give a demonstration of the concept to the trainees. The demonstration helps in enhancing the understanding of the trainees, regarding the concepts. Demonstration also helps the trainees to link the concepts to real world situations.
Review: In review, the trainer reviews the learning of the trainees and assesses the overall effectiveness of the training program. The review activity helps in improving the training content and enhancing its relevancy.
Listening to trainee: Active listening is an important trait in training. Both the trainer and trainees need to actively listen to each other. By actively listening to the trainee, the trainer can have a clear idea of his issues and inhibitions as well as his basic level of understanding.
Observing and evaluation trainee demonstration: When the training is about to conclude, the trainees need to give demonstration of their learning in form of projects and activities. The trainer is required to observe the demonstration and effectively evaluate the level of understanding of the trainee.
Providing feedback: Once the trainer has made his observations, he needs to provide feedback to the trainees. The trainer will highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the trainee. The trainer will give him an improvement plan, which will help the trainee to enhance his overall learning.
Part B
Breakdown in communication: Coaching is all about transmission of information and interaction. If there is a breakdown in communication, the overall objective of coaching will remain unfulfilled. This is so because in such a scenario, transmission of information will get impacted.
Inappropriate circumstances or coaching: If the coaching is inappropriate, then the relationship between the coach and the learner will get adversely impacted.
Insufficient opportunity to practice: Coaching gets polished with practice. If there is insufficient opportunity to practice, then the overall effectiveness of the coaching will get hampered.
Language or cultural barriers: Coaching is all about communication and interaction. If there is language or cultural barrier between the coach and the learner then situations of misunderstanding or confusion may arise.
Shyness or lack of confidence: If the coach or the learner is shy or has lack of confidence, he or she will not be able to open up and share perspective in the overall coaching process. This will hamper the overall effectiveness of the coaching process.
