What are the underlying principles of cognition, and what are the systems that are involved in cognition.
Cognition is the process of getting knowledge from thought,
experience, and the senses. The cognitive processes includes
attention, language, learning, memory, perception and
thought.
Principles of cognition
Cognitive learning principles based on what you know, rather than
the response to stimuli. When applying a cognitive learning
principle, it acting on the thought processes and connecting them
to the memories, rather than merely responding to what is happening
or howwas the feeling. The cognitive processes includes human
perception, attention, learning, memory, concept formation,
reasoning, judgment and decision-making, problem solving, and
language processing.
Learning is the most common example for cognition. Different
methods are used to learn the concepts. It can gained through
knowledge and skill.
Language is the next one, it is used by humans voice sound and it
should helpful for communicate the thoughts and voice.
Memory is the ability of remembering past experiences.
Perception is the ability of process of giving awareness about
surrounding environment through the senses.
Reasoning is the process of conclusion and judgement using a
reason.
Neuronal systems are involved in the cognition process.such as
autonomic responses,brain activity,neuronal activity,scalp
electrical impulses, cerebral blood flow, and non verbal behaviour
are involved.
