Give examples of functional departments

There are so many functional departments in the organisation. Some examples are as follow.

1.) Human resource department.   Human resource department is most important department in the organisation. The heart of of an organisation lies on its people . HR department is responsible for recruitments the right people with required skills , qualifications , and experience .

2.) Production department.   The production department is concerned in manufacturing the products , where raw materials are converted to finished goods through a series of productions process.

3.)Purchasing departments . The purchasing department is responsible for procurements of raw materials , machineries , equipments and supplies . This department ensures that materials are in the right quality , right price , made available in the right time from right suppliers .

4.) Sales departments . The sales departments is responsible for generating revenue . The sales department ensures that sales of product and services results to profit.

5.) Accounting and finance . This department is responsible for accounting , auditing , planning , and organizing the company finance . They are also responsible in producing the companies financials statemnts .

Except from above there are many fucntional departments such as MARKETING AND PROMOTION DEPARTMENT, DISTRIBUTION DEPARTMENT , RESEARCH AND DEVELPMENT DEPARTMENT, OPERATION DEPARTMENT, LEGEL DEPARTMENT ETC.
