The FERC Form no. 6 is an annual and Form no 6Q is a quarterly regulatory reporting requirement.

Each oil pipeline carrier whose annual jurisdictional operating revenues has been $500000 or more for each of the previous three calendar year must files FERC Form no. 6. Oil pipeline carriers exempt from FERC Form 6, whose annual jurisdictional operating revenues has been more than $350000 but less than $500000 for each of the three previous calendar years must prepare and file page 301 “Operating Revenue Accounts” and page 700 “ Annual Cost of Service Based Analysis Schedule” of FERC Form 6. Oil pipeline carriers exempt from filing FERC Form 6 and page 301 whose annual jurisdictional operating revenues were $350000 or less for each of the three previous calendar years must prepare and file page 700 “ Annual Cost of Service Based Analysis Schedule” of FERC Form 6.

The annual report for each year ending Dec 31, must be filed by April 18th of the following year, and the quarterly report for each calendar quarter must be file within 70 days after the end of reporting quarter.

This report form must be filed as prescribed through the form submission software and written one copy of this report. The Corporate Officers Certification must be submitted electronically as part of FERC Form 6 and 6Q. Also indicate by checking the appropriate box on page 3, list of schedules, if the annual report to stock holders will be submitted, or if no annual report to stock holders has been prepared. Submit immediately upon publication by either E-filling or mail 2 copies of latest annual reports to stock holders to the Secretary of the Commission. Fillers file their Annual Report to stock holders using E-filling at the respective website to further that effort, a new selection, “Annual Report to Stock Holders” has been added to the drop down “pick list” from which companies must choose when E-filling. Further instructions posted to the Commission’s website. Federal, State and Local Govt. and other authorised users may obtain additional blank copies of FERC forms 6 and 6Q free of charge.
