During spermatogenesis, there are several million sperms can be produced per day i.e. about 1500 sperms per second. By the end of a full sperm production cycle, spermatogenesis can regenerate upto 8 billion sperm. During oogenesis, most women release an egg cell every cycle is called as ovulation.
