Michigan

Michigan is situated on the Midwestern region of the United States. It is a state in Great Lakes. Due to this, it has the largest fresh water coastline in the world that any subdivision of political entity has. Population wise the state ranks 10th in position and is the 11th largest state of the U.S. It has two peninsulas, the Upper Peninsula and Lower Peninsula. Upper Peninsula is sparsely populated, but is a major tourist attraction with many inland waterways. The Lower Peninsula is the major automotive industry center in the U.S, also is an area for many high tech industries. Michigan has a continental type of climate with severe winter season.

California

California is situated in mid-eastern Pacific region of United States. It is the most populas state of the country and ranks third in size. It is considered as the center for global trendsetters in popular culture, innovation and politics. The San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles Area are main global centers for technology and entertainment. Apart from these, California is also a major agricultural area as it contributes to the highest output in agricultural sector. It is commonly known for it Mediterranean climate. But, the state also experience climates from moist temperate rainforest to arid desert to alpine forest, according to the geographical situation of the places.
