It is important to keep the social context of the social problem in mind when analyzing the problem for a cause or correlation as the context is the root cause of a problem. If we try to resolve a social issue without removing the root cause of an issue it happens again. For example, if we are not able to consciously work against the stereotype that; men are good for breadwinning while women are good for caregiving, prevalent in certain cultures the employment rate of women will not increase in that culture. Research is used to describe the social context of a social problem as through research we either through survey get the relevant information or through experimentation we find the causal relationship. For example, through surveys, we can find that due to the prevalence of stereotypes; women are less educated and less employed in a society.
