Agree or disagree with this statement and why: All employees should be nonexempt so they are only paid for work they actually do.
I disagree with the statement,as everyone know that employee is the back bone behind every successfull organization.There are so many amendements made in favour of the employee in order to provide security to the labour and his family.An employee will spend most of his life and invest his valuable time to the organization to bring it up in the market.Management should think in terms of employee to grow along with the company and it insure to the employee to be paid each drop of employee sweat will be paid accordingly.
In 1949 government made an act called Fair Labour Standard Amendment/Act(FLSA) in order to provide all the benifits and appraisals to the employees.The main aim of the act is employees are entitiled to overtime pay under Fair Labour Standard Act than they are called non exempt employees.The orzanisation should pay them one-and-a-half timestheir regular rate of pay.When employee spend more than 40 hours in a week.
The law has been made by the government to help the employees should cover under this act.There is slight difference between exempt and non exempt employees.But it cost more to the nonexempt employee if the work he did is not accurately paid as per the policies.Employees should aware of all these kind of acts in order to fail under false assumptions.Employer should think and do justice to the employees who work for the organization growth,without employees help no organization will grow bigger and better position.So all the employers should think in terms of their employees growth is equally important along with the organization.
