a- Why is structure of chlorophyll and mitochondria important for their functions within a cell?
b. Describe function of various cell connections.
The structure of Chlorophyll and mitochondria helps a lot in their functions like :
in the case of the chlorophyll molecule, they are basically staying just around the photosystem and they are embedded in the thylakoid membrane which is present in the chloroplast. Generally chlorophyll molecule present in the ground of thylakoid and capture the Sun energy, after that the energy enriched molecules move to the stroma by stroma lamellae where synthesization of sugar happened.
in the case of mitochondria molecule, they have a typical shape that helps them to maximize their productivity. They have an inner, outer membrane , cristae, and matrix . The folding of the inner membrane helps to increase the surface area inside the organelle, in that area reaction occurs, energy is produced by that reaction.
Cell connection is a type of thig which connect cells, cell connection is three types & their functions :
i)Gap junction; It helps cytoplasm to move from one cell to another by its channel
ii)Desmosomes: We all know that there are a lot of reactions happened in the cell , the bond is needed which is made up from protein . This protein move from one cell to another by desmosome
iii)Tight junction: This connection happened after the formation of a bond , it bend when any part of the cell needs to hide from others.
