Describe the biosocial perspective and explain what this perspective considers most important to understanding behavior. Include a discussion of the gender ratio problem and explain why this is not a problem for biosocial theories of crime.
the biosocial parameter can be defined as the dynamic, bidirectional interactions between biological phenomena and social relationships and contexts, which constitute processes of human development over the life course. Thus this phenomenon is important to understand one`s behaviour. If a person is suffering from any mental illness such as depression, his interaction or biosocial behaviour becomes reduced. On the other hand, when a person is happy his biosocial interaction is increased.
Studies show that the interaction of biological factors and social factors provide the perfect playing ground for an individual to develop criminal behaviours. Gender role in criminology is clearly visible as it is seen that why always and everywhere males commit more criminal acts than females. Today also in terms of strength males are considered more powerful than females and criminology is a field which works on strength generally and so does the important role played by the males in it.
