laws are the general rules and regulations that exist in all the countries in the world. Though they may not be the same, it is the general rules and regulations which are applicable to each and every individual in the society and are forced to act accordingly.
They provide safety to the people and ensured that the rights of the people are protected against other person, or organization or by the government. All these laws exist at local, state and country level.
There are different types of law a country can have like labor laws, consumer protection laws, right to information law, criminal law etc.
The law is important because:

The people who come under the preview of EEOC are employees, state and local government, educational institutions, employment agencies and labor organizations.
Hence the existence of equal employment ensures that all people get jobs and are not discriminated by the employers based on their color, age, religion, caste, creed, racism etc. it ensures that who are capable of doing the work matching their educational and technical skill set get assured jobs and also ensures that employers don’t engage in jobs that are prohibited by law.
