Expert Solution

Consumption of alcohol can result in intoxication or drunkenness and this may create so many problems such a person can do many activities that can also lead to legal issues. One of the main concerns is drink and drive. A drunken driver or student can create accidents and serious damages to humans and public properties. Intoxications can also lead to sexual harassment in the event and damages to institution properties. The students who create such damages can get arrested if anyone complains and create negative publicity for the institution.

As a responsible event risk manager, I would not allow the consumption of alcohol below 21 years of age per the legal rules of alcohol consumption. It is a legal offense not to be able to control the public who are mainly students under the influence of alcohol. Considering the fact that there is a limit on alcohol consumption and then drive. As the next day is a holiday for the students so I can allow students of 21 years and higher to consume alcohol for a limited quantity so that they will not create issues like accidents and physical damages. I would also arrange required staff members to ensure that students must follow the rules of the event and do overconsume alcohol. If anything goes wrong after clarifying the instructions, then such a guilty party will be responsible for the consequences.
