Please explain the difference between elastic and perfectly elastic collisions . Also, the difference between inelastic and perfect inelastic collision. how these four collision differ from each other? Thanks for help.
Elastic collision.
In elastic collision, kinetic energy of system before the collision equal to the kinetic energy of system after the collision.
Pefectly elastic collision.
It is same as elastic collision but in this collision velocities of colliding body exchange during collision.
In inelastic collision.
kinetic energy of system before the collision is not equal to the kinetic energy of system after the collision. An inelastic collision is a collision inwhich kinetic energy is not conserved but not neccesry stick together.
In perfectly inelastic collision.
completely inelastic collision is a speciaql case of inelastic collision which the objects stick together after the collision
1.kinetic energy of system before the collision is not equal to the kinetic energy of system after the collision.
2.Two bodies stick together and move with same velocity after the collision.
All four collisions conserved momentum but do not conserv kinetic energy.
