The differences between science and teleology, including aspects of the scientific method and the concept of natural causality
Teleology is a reason or explanation for something as a function of its end, purpose or goal.
Science is a systematically organized body of knowledge on a particular subject.
In modern science the explanations that rely on teleology are often but not always, avoided either because they are unnecessary. Or their true and false nature is beyond ability of human perception and understanding to judge.
Using teleology as an explanatory style in evolution is debatable.
The statement 'inorder to achieve survival the species ' is teleological. Or the statement nature has goals is teleological.
The term cybernetics denote study of teleological mechanisms. Cybernetics is study of communication and control of regulatory feedback both in living beings and machine.
Teleology believes in natural causality as some events happen through supernatural forces. A belief that all events can be traced to natural causes that we comprehend.
Where as science is based in scientific methods. A method of procedure that has characterized natural science. Consisting in systematic observations, measurements, experiments, formulation, testing and modification of hypothesis.
