What is your definition of quality? What is the difference between poor quality and good quality?
Quality can be defined as an attribute where the product or service matches the customer`s expectations and the manufacturers /service providers guarantees.
In terms of a product, it is usually measured as a conformance to a standard which was provided to the audience and accepted by them. The product specification which was initially decided by the company also needs to be met.
For a service provider, it is ensuring that the customers get what they pay for. In this case, the quality is usually comparative in nature, where a service is compared to another of same level and quality is measured.
To ensure, quality is maintained at all level, organizations for the following quality management process:
A good quality product is one which is meeting the expectations set in the mindset of the consumers. Such products do not have any defects, deficiencies or flaws. Such products/services will always pass the quality tests and will maintain all the specifications which was advertised. A product of bad quality will have minor defects in them. They may fail multiple rounds of quality tests. When doing a comparative analysis between products, the poor quality one will easily stand out.
