1)Hydration status of the person is important in determining the skin fold level .when the amount of fluid in body reduce that is in slight dehydration ,the fluid in the skin start to move out of the skin due to osmotic gradient and decrease the thickness of the skin fold .

For example- it is difficult to grasp the skin fold when we apply skin lotion

2) The hydration status and BIA . When the hydration status of our body us low that is dehydrated it will result in the increase in our Body electrical resistance ,which can even cause a 5-6 kg underestimationof fat free mass . In simple words it will cause an overestimation of our body fat .

3) Hydration status in DXA . In DXA scan our body is categorised into all non bone , as well as non fat matter as lean tissue which includes blood and other fluids also .By increasing the hydration status we can increase our lean tissue amount . In simple words decrease our body fat percentage
