practices in the elderly
What are the factors that negatively affect this process in our
elderly
Psychosocial rehabilitation is a type of rehabilitation process
that helps individual improve their skills, boost confidence and
support that will help them become integral part of the
society.
Elderly people often need psychosocial rehabilitation. It benefits
the elderly in following ways :
1. Elderly people sometimes become demotivated and demoralised
due to chronic diseases and disabilities. Psychosocial
rehabilitation provides support assistance as well as boost
confidence in such people that help them to cope up with their
diseases and disabilities.
2. psychosocial rehabilitation improves basic skills and strength
which will help elderly to find employment.
3. improves quality of life
4. Improves social integration and elderly feel connected to the
society.
5. Provides counselling and support to elderly with mental
illness.
Some of the factors that negatively affect psychosocial
rehabilitation are :
