if given the choice, would you prefer to manage in an organization where an individual, team, or group incentives were used? Why? What are the pros and cons of those types of incentives?
I will go with individual incentives plan. as because under this worker are paid on the basis of their personal performance . and the incentives is directly linked to the performance of the employe. so the worker may improve his performance to improve his remuneration .
following are the advantages and disadvantages of individual incentives plan------
Advantages-------
1. It is specifically pay on the basis of individual performance not on the basis of group.
2. it provide more pay to higher achiving employees and less pay to lower achiving employess.
3. It also avoid punishing of the employee on the basis of poor performance of feelow team memeber.
Disadvantages--------
1. Individiual incentives can bring unethical compitation as in commission sale employees of the company should fight over the customer.
2. Employee should started working for the individual individual performance rather than the team goal and performance.
Group incentives----------under the group incentives plan individual performance is not measured but the group performance is measured , and group are paid on the basis of the performance of all the team memeber.
Advantages-------1. One of the advantages of this system is that it bring about the team spirit among the worker of the company.
2. Amother advanatages of group incentives is that if all the member of the team work collectivly than the productivity of the company should improve and whole team should be benefited from that.
Disadvantages------
1. The disadvatages of this is that it is insufficient to motivate the individual workers, paticulary to those who are highly skilled and have more experience.
