You are in a meeting with some of the other workers in other departments - accounting, human resources, finance, and manufacturing. These people are saying that the company should get rid of the marketing to save millions of dollars.
What would you say to persuade them that the marketing department is vital to the wellbeing of all the departments and of the company as a whole?

Marketing is a way to connect with the customers and we can communicate and convey a specific message using different channels. This is the core value of marketing and the company can see success when it connects well with the customers through their marketing content. The marketing can also help the accounting, human resources, finance, and manufacturing departments as well. The marketing team can tell how the company invests a lot of money into R&D to create excellent products for the customers. They can also say how the company has created a great work environment for the employees. The latest technologies used in the manufacturing process can also be promoted through marketing. So marketing is very important for any company because it is the face of the organization. The above mentioned are just some f the ways in which marketing department can help the other departments but the opportunities and applications are too large to count. The marketing team also acts a backbone for other departments as well because the message told by the team depends on what every single department is doing in the company. The information flows between different teams in the company and the marketing team picks the one that can connect with the customers well. Sometimes they may talk about the R&D process and sometimes they might talk about being the market leader in a country considering sales. So the impact marketing department can have is for the entire company and not just for few departments. The budget for the marketing will be decided by the company top management and the objective of this would be to take the brand closer to the customers and make it more popular. Marketing can keep the different departments together on the same page and help them in improving themselves. So it is very much required to have a marketing team in the company.
