What effect does the Endangered Species Act 1973 has on the environment and people?
Ans.
This act was like a lifeline for the species which were going to be lost soon. It protects the ecosystem which helps human and various animals to sustain. Earlier these species were saved by keeping them in zoo but Americans found it less and thus we decided to support them in their own habitat i.e. insitu conservation. Hence under this act, a species which is in danger can be kept under the category of endangered species and then important steps can be taken to conserve them and to increase their population. It also helped people to understand the conditions and they could also support the government and there was increased reporting of hunting of these endangered species. Hence their hunting was completely banned.
