Describe in detail the police "Mission" in today's world. Is this mission consistent with what you see by law enforcement agencies in their advertised "Mission Statements"? Is it consistent with your perception of police performance?

<<Meaning --- Police force have the duty of maintaining law and order in or at (an area or event). The civil force of a state, responsible for the prevention and detection of crime and the maintenance of public order.

"Mission" in today's world :--- Since last ten years the police service has operated in a climate of increasing inspection of its central purpose, organisational arrangements and effectiveness.

They strive to promote public safety and crime prevention through education and enforcement; maintaining of public order by preserving the legal rights of all individuals; to provide efficient service; and to reduce the impact of crime.

Some efforts of police include :

Crime prevention, Infrastructure protectionCommunity, education and awareness,

Victim support and assistance, Traffic safety, Emergency preparedness

----------------------------------------------- There may be both condition occures either consistent by law enforcement agencies in their advertised- Mission Statements or consistent with your perception of police performance, but it depends upon the thinking and the views of the individuals. Police department always try to perform each and every duties assinged to them by enforcement agencies very perfectly. If we see police mission consistent with perception of police performance, it totaly depends on the perception ( perception means the ability to see, hear, or become aware of something ) of person. A person feel satisfied or think about the duties of police, consistent with perception of police performance when work done according to us, if not so then we use to blame the police. Its a human tendency of being blamming others, when they did not get the work done in accordance with them.
