PV = nRT
P & V :
you attach a syringe to the pressure sensor whose plunger is pulled
to a lower value,
and this the pressure value is recorded. After pulling the plunger
in and out a couple
of times and recording the respective values you can observe that
for a low value of
volume you should obtain a higher value of pressure. Inorder to
fulfill the ideal gas law
pressure sensor must compress all the air inside.Therby exerting
more force on the sensor
when the syringe is plugged in so that the pressure increases as
volume decreases.
This is how a pressure sensor must work when there is Volume
change.
P & n :
Your pressure sensor must be able to take certain value of the gas
from the source and record the
pressure. Therefore the limits for n must be set , nothing more or
less than that can be taken
by the pressure sensor
P & T:
Pressure sensor is made to detect the change in the pressure when
the source is subjected
to heat. The heat travels from source to the other end the gas
might react
by expanding/compression which causes a change in pressure. This
change is
detected by pressure sensor.
