How does traditional snail-mail deal with such issues? Are there
any issues that does not have a snail-
mail equivalence? Concerning these issues, what is it about e-mail
that make it differ from snail-mail?

Difference between Snail-mail and e-mail:

Now let's talk about the issues that we face in email related to confidentiality and authentication and then we will see how snail mail can deal with such issues.
Easy Interception:
Email: This is the main issue with the emails as emails can easily be intercepted i.e., the information can easily be exposed to unwanted peoples.
Snail-mail: This is not the case with the snail as there is very fewer chances of interception because we send the mail physically, we use literate and innocent peoples to carry our mail and send to the right person.
Compliance Conflictions:
Email: When we have to send the important financial data or medical details, then every company demands a high level of security which as a small mistake can lead to breach imposed requirements.
Snail-mail: Here we use the Snail-mail approach as send the important financial data encrypted and send through the physical medium as send in any storage device. This will enhance security and increase the company values.
Absent Authentication:
Email: As I read somewhere that one key shouldn't open the whole house so in the email too with the password anyone can see the whole data. this shouldn't happen.
Snail-mail: Here we can use the snail-mail approach and send the specific data to only the particular individual so this thing can help in this.
