Hi,
This is in regards to a recent trend that I have observed in our work place. I have noticed a gradual increase in time spend by employees on cellphones for either talking or browsing though social media. While I can appreciate the need and urge to be connected with our freinds, colleage and wider world in general, I would expect the sincereity from all of you to ensure that it doesn't hurt your and your colleagu's productivity. I would not like to discuss the details but in recent past I have notices marked deterioration in quality of deliverables because of lack of focus and attention to details. After talking to few of you I have arrived at the conclusion that its because of diversions from social media. I respect your freedom and sense of judgement and I will never try to impose a set of micro managing instruction. That being said I would expect all of you to self regulate your self and strike a balance between contributing to your workplace and being connected to social media.
