Consider a company named APP which is multinational. It serves its customers through different electronic devices, and digital medium. The company APP maintains a chain of retail outlets to sell its core products mainly phones, tablets, and portable media players.
Basically, the firm APP focuses on disruptive innovation, as the company is well reputed in applying new technology. Moreover, the disruptive innovative strategy allows the company to gain a competitive advantage over other firms in the market.
The company APP has used different types of innovation strategies over time. The types of innovation strategies are as follows:
Radical: The Company APP indulges in developing a new revolutionary technology.
Incremental: Being the common form of innovation, the Company has updated versions of its products.
Disruptive: The Company APP applies new technology to its process every now and then.
Architectural: The Company APP applies its technology to the new market, and reintroduces the proven technology.
