Development Administration

The development administration is concerned with programs, programmes, policies and ideas that are based on developing a country in the light of the socio-economic and socio-political growth of society in general, undertaken by qualified and professional bureaucrats.

A model of Development Administration must contain the following points.

  • It should reject the status quo and focus more on change and results. It is based on the result and each development function must have a defined purpose.
  • Planing for a development purpose is necessary to determine the resource structure and the time for it.
  • Novelty. The strategy is innovative and promotes new and different ways of achieving goals.
The priority should be on people and people planning. It is people-centered, must motivate society in its entirety and not goods or profits.

Development Planning

In several different ways,Development planning takes place and it is difficult to describe succinctly. Development planning basically refers to the strategic measurable objectives a person , organization or community intends to achieve in a certain period of time. The development plan usually contains time-based criteria. It also usually contains the requirements to determine whether the goals were actually achieved or not. In general , the purpose of the development plan is to establish a policy structure that will allow for the drawing up of more comprehensive proposals for different areas of the planning authority sector.

Human Development Index

Human development index HDI is a composite index summarizing country averages in terms of three basic human development concepts, education, health and income. The social and economic aspect of the human development index is very advantageous for countries to be incorporated into four major thirds of human development. Sometimes used as a indicator of economic growth and consumer benefits is the Human Development Index.

4 major pillars of human development are:-

  1. Equity:- Equal opportunities to everybody.
  2. Sustainability:- Continuity in the availability of opportunities.
  3. Productivity:- Productivity in human work.
  4. Empowerment:- Power to make chokes.
