Based on what you have learned this semester, state whether you believe this perceived change in work/life balance is a good thing or a bad thing from both the employee's viewpoint and that of the organization. In your response, also explain the impact such a change might have on employee compensation systems.
Work life balance is necessary for an organization because it ensure employees to balance both sides of their life. A better personal life help an employe to contribute positively to their professional life. It helps in creative a constructive environment where an employee has the mind to think , concentrate and deliver with positive commitment. It help employer to get emplpemp satisfaction with their job and also will get contribution from their end in the best possible way. There are lot of advantages of providing better work life balance. It enhances commitment level, it reduces stress of employees,it reduces turn over rate, better relationship with manager and employees etc.
From compensation point of view all employees has to be paid as per industiain standard and perks based on the performance. Compensation has significant role in work life balance ( monetary elements). Sometimes it might give additional burden to organization but still the level of impact on business front from employees will.be high.There is a considerable relationship with employees satisfaction on a better compensation system, their involvement and satisfaction .
