how large quantities of deep yellow orange or dark green foods impact retinal levels

Solutions

Expert Solution

Deep yellow orange and dark green foods are the good source of vitamine A . Plant forms cartenoids , greatest vitamine A activity is beta carotene - deep yellow orange .  Retinal is one of active form of vitamine A that fnctions in the pigment of eye . After entering the eye light strikes the visual pigment rhodopsin which is present in retina ,rhodopsin is consist of protein opsin along with retinal.Light causes change in configuration of retinal from cis to trans .Asignal is sent to the brain related to thisprocess and some retinal is lost in this cycle while some retinal returns in its original form that is cis and bind to the protein opsin .If there is deficiency of vit.A then this process of rhodopsin regenration is delayed. large quanities of deep yellow orange foods are good for eye health and clear vision but excess of vitamine A from animal source like liver can be toxic.

A coworker claims that Skittles candy contains equal quantities of each color (purple, green, orange, yellow, and red). In other words, 1/5 of all Skittles are purple, 1/5 of all Skittles are green, etc. You, an avid consumer of Skittles, disagree with her claim. Test your coworker's claim at the α=0.10α=0.10 level of significance, using the data shown below from a random sample of 200 Skittles. Which would be correct hypotheses for this test? (5 pts) Suppose that the five standard Skittles colors (red, orange, yellow, green, purple) occur with equal relative frequency. Use the random digits below to simulate the colors of 4 randomly selected Skittles. Continue to do this until you have generated 12 such samples of 4 Skittles. Use the results of these simulations to approximate that probability that a sample of 4 Skittles will contain at least two Skittles of the same color. 28491 06339 65216 31007 92314 50271 82943...
