why did a African American residents of Watts, Newark and Detroit rebel in 1965-1966?

It was a famous riot named as watt riot which took place in watts neighbourhood of Los Angels from 11th to 16th 1965.

All first looked like a unregular but yet unexpected simple issue. In no time rosed into heated up argument converting into a rebellion riot for which police needed 4000 police support even.

So here is wat itz all about.

Marquette frye , an African - American mororist was pulled over for reckless driving. That was found to be starting point. That resulted into heated up argument. Rumours also spreadt that police hurted a pregnant woman. Police needed 4000 people of California Army National Gaurd support to control the riot. It resulted in 34 deaths , more than 30 million property damages. Riots finally blamed police racism.

But what is this ?? How come a motor reckless biker get a huge support from other people in sucha way that the riot lasted for few days ??

It can be termed as a incident arosed out of vanished patience and vexation of african - americans. May be termed as overflown bottle.

During 1920's a huge amount of migration took place among african- americans from northern states to southern states of america that bypassed los angels. Formerly it was all due to better educational and job oppurtunities in 1920 's but by 1940's huge amounts of black americans migrated to west coast also in order to be recruited into military which were taking place then during the start of WORLD WAR II

By then the african - american population rose from 5% to 15% approx. The then president Franklin D Roosevelt issued an executive order that in the process of recruitments or promotions no discrimination will be shown to minorities. So in that way by 1940's african - americans could somehow find a scope of jobs for their livelihood. And now comes their efforts to reside in the place of working.

Los angels by then was already filled with 85% of racially restrictive covenants who useto discriminate and prevent black americans as well as mexican americans in buying lands / restricting renting in few areas inspite of courts denial of such restrictive practices.

So these people who being discriminated in living / buying lands / renting included watts , newark and detroit rebels.

Later through the process of blackbusting , i.e a technique where all the houses / lands over a certain area will be bought / developed by the whites and then those will be offered to scarce afri- americans / black americans for cut throught prices.

Thus by then , these rebells were already with hell lotta fire on these systems / non helping polices / govt officials and all other kind of discriminations that being experienced by them.

So , on 11th august 1956. The argument first started by arresting fyre on drunk and drive case. Back up was called from police dept as many black americans gathered there to see the scene. As the fyre house is nearby that incudent taking place , to find her son resisting the arrest. By many people it was claimed that police misbehaved with pregnant woman and also throwed his fire arm. then mrs. Fyre rose and caught the glimpse of gun , jumped onto officers back which lead to people over there cheering. Later all the three fyres were arrested.

But the revolt rosed by almost 30 thousand rebellions after the police cars left. It held as a testimony for all the inequalities and discrimnations being experienced by watts newark and detroit residents.
