Ans.

Now, many of thm are famous writers, sports person etc and they are quite rich now. But these people also went through lots of pain in the past. They were mainly of Caribbean origin. They were brought by the British and settled in the Canda after British and French went from North America.

Majority of them were engaged in domestic works, they were like prestige items for wealthy masters of them. They also worked as sex slaves and were forcefully converted from Catholics to Roman Catholics since only Catholics can own a slave. they were tortured. they were treated as property of their masters.

They were treated in discriminatory manner by both US white settlers and the Canadians. While the white settlers could mix up with the Canadians very well and could flourish well.
