Quantum dots (QDs) are artificial clusters of semi conductive atoms that have the ability to the electrons motion due to their small size (size - several nanometers) due to their smaller size their optical used electronic properties compare to large particles. One of the most importnat properties and theirfore control their light absorption and emission frequencies. This is done through the quantization of their energy level. In this way it is possible to adjust for their optical and electrical properties according to their purpose of use.
