a.How does big data impact and change enterprise Data warehouse and data management infrastructure ?
b.How can an organization become big data ready, mature, and visionary?
c.What is the current state and future of “Big Data” analytics? Matured? Over? Faded?
a. Big data is a platform that can hold huge amount of data and even where the data is stored in an unstructured format. As big data deals with huge data, the data warehousing process becomes easy, simple, convenient, time saving and also with high performance. For example a data which took hours to be loaded are now loaded within few moments and that too maintaining the performance and quality. Due to this the infrastructure may need to be changed to accommodate such changes and to perform in a better manner.
b. In order to understand that an organization is big data ready, the flowing points needs to be analyzed:
1. A knowledge base of big data understanding and this needs to be shared which means that the individuals in the organization needs to be aligned in the same path.
2. While taking any decision it should be considered that business intelligence is an integral part and that should be taken into account always for the benefit of the organization itself.
3. Innovation ideas and experimenting needs to be promoted and the organization should be comfortable enough dealing with such ideas.
4. The management has to understand the importance and actual use of big data so that they feel and understand the importance.
5. The organization needs to work with data which are of high quality, they can be unstructured but accurate.
c. The current state and future of “Big Data” analytics according to me is Matured because it has already made us realize its importance and role and almost all large and multinational organizations are using big data today and it has future that will have a huge impact as well.
